Masoud Barzani

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, President Masoud Barzani and Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, discussed the political situation and the latest developments in Syria.

During the telephone conversation, Mr. Abdi explained to President Barzani the details and results of his visit to Damascus and the understanding reached with the Syrian government.

Both sides also stressed the need to support any step that leads to peace and stability in Syria, as well as the importance of a unified Kurdish position in the next steps of the Syrian political process.
