We have received with great sadness the news of the passing of His Highness, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah. On this sorrowful occasion, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the honorable Emir family and to the government and people of Kuwait. The deceased represented high human values, and during his rule, the relations between Kuwait and the Kurdistan Region were certainly further strengthened.

We pray to His Almighty that the deceased will be blessed with His mercy.
