Duhok, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, (Barzani Headquarters)- President Masoud Barzani released a statement through his personal Twitter account today on the occasion of the commencement of operations of the 14th congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the city of Duhok.

The following is the text of the President's statement:

Today in the city of Dohuk, we commence the 14th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. On this occasion, I congratulate all members and supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the people of Kurdistan. It is my sincere hope that the results and recommendations of the congress will serve the higher interests of our people.
